Type 1

1. first you have to move the constant value to the right

$$x^2+6x-7=0$$ $$x^2+6x=7$$

2. then you need to get the coefficient of the 2nd term and square it and add it.

$$x^2+6x+{\left(\frac{6}{2}\right)}^2=7+{\left(\frac{6}{2}\right)}^2$$

3. after that you can write the equation as a square

4. then you can get the square root. remember there are two values for the right side
